PointsBet casino is a user-friendly platform with a sleek interface that makes it easy to navigate, whether you’re using the sportsbook or Ontario online casino. Founded in 2015, the brand has earned several EGR North American industry awards, including Best Sports Betting Operator (2020-2022).
PointsBet has built a strong global presence, operating in multiple markets outside Canada. Here in Ontario, it stands out for its focus on the local scene through sponsorships, having partnered with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), Curling Canada, and serving as the Authorized Gaming Operator of NBA Canada. To that end, it’s a brand with a major nationwide footprint - but how does it fare as a casino for local slot players and card fans?
Our PointsBet casino review gets right into the details of its 1,300+ games, mobile experience, payment methods that boast some of Ontario’s fastest withdrawal speeds, and three touchpoints of customer support. At first glance, its library may seem slim, especially when up against competitors like ToonieBet (4,500+ titles), but PointsBet scores high on our list of top online Ontario casinos – and we’ll tell you why below.
| 💰 Minimum deposit | $10 |

PointsBet casino may be short on quantity (1,300+ casino games compared to Casino Days’ 5,000+ titles), but it makes up for it with game quality. Despite its smaller size, its casino catalogue covers all the essentials, from slots like Fire Joker 100 and the Money Train series to classic tables like blackjack and roulette.
All games are housed under a single “Casino” tab, with tabs or scrolling sections to browse. While categories are clearly labelled, the PointsBet main navigation menu bar can feel a bit confusing at first, with icons that aren’t immediately identifiable – like the YouTube-looking ‘play’ icon for live streaming sports. That said, once you’re familiar with it, the layout makes it easy to seamlessly jump between casino games, live betting, and sports action.
One thing that sets PointsBet casino apart from many Ontario online casinos is its search bar. It doesn’t just help you find a favourite slot by name or table game by genre - type in “football” and you’ll instantly see two sets of results: one for casino games and one for sports betting. Unlike 888casino and PartyCasino, where sports and casino are completely separate, PointsBet makes it effortless to switch between action, keeping the experience seamless and uninterrupted. In all our Ontario casino reviews, we’ve yet to see such smart integration.
Subjective as it may be, we gravitate toward darker colour schemes like the black of PointsBet casino, which help game tiles pop. From a navigation standpoint, PointsBet gets a lot right. While the casino tab houses all 1,300+ titles, mixing slots and table games. This setup works well for now, but if PointsBet casino grows significantly, it may eventually need to adopt a navigation style similar to LeoVegas, separating casino and live casino entirely.
Scrolling further down also reveals slot collections organized by top providers, including 1x2 Network’s Reel Zone and Play’n GO’s “Ready, Set, Fire” – a themed grouping of fiery reels that feels a bit niche, but well curated. That said, the Slots tab is your best option for intuitive browsing. Here, you’ll find categories that make much more sense, including dedicated tabs for Slingo slots, Megaways (80+ titles), Steppers (15+), and a genuinely useful “Trending” section for tracking the most-played Ontario online slots.
Make use of each game tile’s “i” icon for quick previews before playing, a small but handy touch, especially on mobile, where loading times can occasionally take a little longer.
Ontario jackpot slots fans might have some beef with PointsBet, as it doesn’t offer a dedicated jackpot tab, and we were hard-pressed to find many true progressives. That said, your best workaround for higher win potential is the search bar, though its main limitation is that it only surfaces games with “jackpot” in the title. While this is a workaround, it’s less intuitive than having a full jackpot category for easy browsing and makes us wonder why we’re doing the heavy lifting to find a big payday.
We weren’t successful in finding any progressives at PointsBet, and realistically, if PointsBet were running a Mega Moolah style progressive, it’s something we’d expect them to highlight front and centre, and right now, that presence just isn’t there.
You can find table games at PointsBet by selecting the “Card & Table” category within the main casino. The RNG library is small, with just 35+ titles, while the live casino at PointsBet is much stronger, with close to 100 games. The RNG table selection leans heavily toward blackjack and roulette, with video poker included, but notably no online baccarat. That’s a big omission in our books, but they do have options over in the live casino tab.
With that said, the small library does offer variations of classics, such as Blazing 7s Blackjack. It’s online blackjack with a twist, giving you a chance at larger side bet payouts if you can snag a series of 7s in your hand.
Most of these games start with a friendly $1 wager minimum. One of the standout low stakes tables was Single-Deck Blackjack, where you can wager as little as $0.10. If you’re starting with a $10 deposit, that’s a whole lot of rounds to play! For higher-stakes action, one of the best options is Blackjack from IGT, which allows max bets up to $5,000.

We’ve noticed a real shift in our recent Ontario casino reviews: live casinos are growing exponentially compared to RNG libraries. This isn’t surprising, as game shows and live poker tables tend to be far more immersive. Many of these live experiences even blend slot-style bonus rounds, creating a hybrid experience for ultimate engagement.
At PointsBet, you won’t find the vast selection offered by casinos like BetMGM Ontario (450+ live dealer tables), but you will find all of today’s hot live casino favourites – and a tab committed to highlighting them. Evolution, one of the leading providers in live dealer games, powers several of these games, including blackjack, Monopoly Live and Ice Fishing game shows.

At PointsBet Ontario, you can try many slots and table games in demo mode to get a feel for the gameplay before betting real money. There’s one caveat – you’ll need to log into your PointsBet casino account for full free-play access, unlike ToonieBet, which in true Canadian fashion, lets visitors try its games for free before committing to joining. Of course we prefer a more open lobby for guests, but it’s good to know demo mode is offered.

Ontario players looking to join PointsBet casino will be fans of its smooth process. Keep in mind, as a legal Ontario online casino, PointsBet requires a photo of your DL to verify your identity. This is standard and will help ensure your first withdrawal is speedy.
Now, with our PointsBet login officially sorted, you’ve got full access to its entire games library on desktop or mobile, with sports, casino and live casino offerings.

There’s a dedicated PointsBet casino app in both the App Store and Google Play, available as free downloads. This one app gives you access to both the PointsBet casino and sportsbook, which is nice – no extra downloads required. This isn’t always the case, as competitors like DraftKings offer separate casino and all-in-one sports apps.
We loved how fast and intuitive the PointsBet app was on our iPhone, especially when testing live casino game loading speeds. Throughout our experience, there were no issues with lag or crashes, making for a smooth and seamless session. During our test run of the PointsBet app, we deposited using Apple Pay for convenience – a nice perk that not all online casinos in Ontario allow.

Let’s start with the basics: PointsBet has a minimum deposit of just $10 — a friendly starting point for newbies. It offers a solid mix of deposit options, ranging from Google Play, one of the most secure and instant casino deposit methods, to Interac and credit cards. Keep in mind that while online Ontario casinos technically accept credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, and Amex (rare), Canadian banks can sometimes be strict about approving casino transactions. With that in mind, we recommend PayPal.
Where PointsBet really impressed us in our Ontario casino review was with its cashout speed. Withdrawals land on the fast end for online casinos in the province. PayPal is the clear standout, handling both deposits and withdrawals, with withdrawals typically arriving within 30 minutes. Interac transfers follow closely, usually landing within a few hours. We can’t stress enough how important fast cashouts are - especially for sportsbooks.

There are a few ways to reach customer support across the PointsBet platform. You’ll find a link to its three main points of contact – email, phone and live chat – right at the base of the main lobby. It’s also front and centre throughout the Help pages, which are handy guides to deposits, withdrawals, and gameplay at PointsBet.
During our Ontario casino review process, we put the PointsBet live chat to the test. A “PointsBot” greets every initial prompt and helps narrow down queries to a few categories like Withdrawals or My Account. Next, it generates more questions to help dig deeper into your query. The good news is that you can skip all the Bot jargon and head directly to a human by typing “Speak to agent” and you’ll be queued up for human support. A few loops, but it resolved after approximately 5 minutes all-in.

As a publicly traded company, PointsBet is a fully licensed and regulated operator in Ontario, approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and iGaming Ontario, which means it must meet strict provincial standards for fair play, player verification, and compliance. That licensing alone provides an important layer of consumer protection. To meet those standards, PointsBet uses SSL encryption to protect player data and banking transactions.
On the responsible gaming side, PointsBet offers standard player protection tools, including deposit limits, time-outs, and full self-exclusion options, all designed to help players manage their gambling. That said, there is an important cautionary note: in 2023, AGCO fined PointsBet for failures related to responsible gaming enforcement, including inadequate intervention with a high-risk player and continued marketing after opt-out requests.
So, while the tools are in place and the company operates under strict regulation, that enforcement history shows that responsible gaming practices haven’t always been applied perfectly in practice, which is something players should keep in mind. We assume now that this has come to light, they will be enforcing safer gambling.

PointsBet is an excellent all-around Ontario online casino. Aesthetically, the site is appealing, but more importantly, it’s very user-friendly. While it may be sports-centric, its casino library of 1,300+ games is comparable to FireVegas Ontario, offering plenty of variety across slots and table games.
Slot spinners should be quite satisfied with its breadth of categories and top providers, but jackpot hunters and those chasing monster progressives may find its selection lacking. So, look at your style of play – PointsBet offers the most popular slots, an integrated sportsbook, and a healthy live casino with close to 100 titles covering game shows and live dealer games. It won’t disappoint so long as they continue to keep the new releases rolling in.
Where PointsBet really impresses, and where many players specifically focus when choosing a new casino, is fast cashouts. Withdrawals via PayPal often land in just 30 minutes, with Interac transfers usually completing within a few hours. For anyone prioritizing quick access to their winnings, whether from casino play or sportsbook bets, PointsBet sets a high standard that’s hard to beat in Ontario.
We’ve put PointsBet numbers to the test against other Ontario online casinos with sportsbooks. Consider your gameplay and how you bet your bankroll to find your best casino match.
